About Me

Greg lives with his wife and daughter in Reno, Nevada. Greg was born and raised in northern California, but has lived for most of his life in Colorado, Alaska, and Hawaii. Greg has previously worked as a financial analyst and senior associate at an investment bank, as a Subject Matter Expert for Stalla’s CFA study guides (Derivatives, Risk Management, Quantitative Methods, Portfolio Management and Fixed Income), as an adjunct editor for various publications, and as a university finance professor. Greg is also a referee for academic papers submitted for publication to the Pacific-Basin Finance Journal and The Financial Review, various conferences, and has published writings on academic, outdoor recreation and energy investment topics. 

During his free time, Greg enjoys being in the mountains, impressionist art, is (slowly) learning Korean, and once swam from Alcatraz Island to San Francisco.
